Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

RideTime VA is a used vehicle dealer at 9150 Prince William St, Manassas, Virginia. This policy explains what we collect when you use ridetimeva.com or do business with us, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, call us and ask.

Information you give us

When you send a message, ask about a vehicle, book a test drive, submit your car for an evaluation, or make a payment, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us in the message or note.

If you apply for in-house financing, we collect more, because we have to in order to make a lending decision: your address, proof of income, identification, and the details of your down payment. We collect that in person at the dealership, not through this website.

Information we collect automatically

When you view a vehicle listing, we record that a view happened so we know which vehicles are getting attention. We use this to decide what to stock and how to price it.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also logs standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this to keep the site working and to spot abuse.

How we use your information

We use what you give us to reply to you, to answer questions about a vehicle, to schedule appointments, to evaluate a car you want to sell us, to process payments, and to service your account if you finance with us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing.

We do not send marketing text messages or marketing email blasts. If that ever changes, we will ask for your permission first, separately and clearly, and you will be able to say no and still do business with us.

Financial privacy if you finance with us

RideTime VA is both the dealership and the lender on our buy here pay here financing. That makes us a financial institution under federal law, and the information you give us on a credit application is protected as nonpublic personal information.

If you open a financing account with us, we give you a separate written financial privacy notice at signing that describes what we collect, who we share it with, and how to limit certain sharing. We also give you that notice again each year while your account is open. Ask us for a copy at any time.

When we share information

We share information with companies that run parts of our business for us: our payment processor, our email delivery provider, our website host, and our scheduling tool. They may only use it to do that job for us.

If you finance with us, we may share information with parties involved in that transaction, such as the Virginia DMV for titling and registration, an insurer you name, or a lienholder.

We may disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or a lawful government request, or when we need to protect our rights, our property, or someone's safety.

Card payments

Online payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout page. Your card number is typed on Stripe's page, never on ours. RideTime VA never sees, receives, or stores your full card number. We receive only the card brand, the last four digits, and whether the payment succeeded.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function, such as remembering whether you are browsing in English or Spanish.

We keep our own count of vehicle listing views, as described above. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiries and leads for as long as we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back.

Records connected to an actual vehicle sale or a financing account are kept for as long as Virginia dealer recordkeeping rules and tax law require, which is longer.

How we protect information

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to our admin system is limited and password protected, and payment card data never touches our systems.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we will not tell you otherwise. If we ever have a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as Virginia law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will do that unless we are required to keep it, which is usually the case for a completed sale or an open financing account.

You can tell us at any time to stop contacting you, and we will stop, except for messages we are required to send about an account you hold with us.

To make any of these requests, call us at 571-379-5444 or use the contact form.

Children

This site is meant for adults shopping for a vehicle. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly on the site.

Questions about your privacy

Call, email, or stop by the lot. A real person here will answer you, in English or in Spanish.
