We're a used car dealership on Prince William St in Manassas, Virginia. Here's what we collect when you use ridetimeva.com or buy from us, and what we do with it. Short version: we use your information to help you get into a car, we don't sell it to anybody, and you can call and ask us about it anytime.
What we collect
When you message us, ask about a vehicle, book a test drive, send us your car for an appraisal, or make a payment, we get whatever you put in the form — your name, phone, email, and what you tell us. If you apply online for our in-house financing, we ask for more than that: your date of birth, Social Security or ITIN number, home address and how long you have lived there, your income and who pays you, and the down payment you can make. Your Social Security number is encrypted the moment you send it, and our own system can only read the last four digits. The documents behind those answers — your ID, proof of income, and the down payment itself — are handled in person at the lot.
The site itself keeps a simple count of how many people look at each vehicle, so we know what to stock, and our web host logs the usual technical things like your IP address and browser.
What we do with it
We use it to get back to you, answer questions about a car, set up appointments, appraise a car you want to sell us, take payments, and service your account if you finance with us.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't rent it or trade it either, and we don't send marketing texts or email blasts. If that ever changes, we'll ask you first, and you can say no and still do business with us.
Who else sees it
The companies that help us run the business — our payment processor, email provider, website host, and scheduling tool — see only what they need to do that job for us.
If you buy or finance a car, we may share what the deal requires with the Virginia DMV for title and tags, an insurer you name, or a lienholder. And we'll turn over information when the law makes us, like a subpoena, or when someone's safety is on the line.
If you finance with us
We're the dealership and the lender on our buy here pay here financing, which makes us a financial institution under federal law. Everything on your credit application is protected as nonpublic personal information.
When you sign, we hand you a separate written financial privacy notice covering it, and another copy every year your account is open. Ask us for one whenever you want.
Payments and security
Online payments go through Stripe, on Stripe's own checkout page. Your card number is typed there, never on our site — we only ever see the card brand, the last four digits, and whether it went through.
The rest of the site runs over an encrypted connection, and our admin system is locked down. No system is perfect, though, and we won't tell you otherwise. If your information is ever caught up in a breach, we'll notify you the way Virginia law requires.
Your choices
Ask us what we have on you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it — call 571-379-5444 or use the contact form. The exception is records we're required to keep, like a completed sale or an open financing account.
Tell us to stop contacting you and we'll stop, other than notices we have to send about an account you hold with us. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies; ours mainly just remember whether you're reading in English or Spanish.
This site is for adults shopping for a vehicle, and we don't knowingly collect anything from children under 13. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
Questions about your privacy
Call, email, or stop by the lot. A real person here will answer you, in English or in Spanish.
